When I started working for stage DVDs were still present and a real pain to work with... Eventually the computers became fast enough to be able to process video in real time and using projection on stage became much more flexible.
The first advantage was to be able to manipulate the video without "rendering" time (without having to wait for the computer to finish re-calculate the video after making it a bit smaller or bigger) which leaves a lot more time for experimentation and test on stage with the performers.
Now, in 2016, the possibilities are endless and only limited by time and budget.
This first section is a selection of software intended to be operated by a technician without specific knowledge about the software. Most of them incorporate video mapping and external trigger via midi or OSC.
They are sorted by date, the most recent first. For some production I only realized the software, for other I aslo created the video content (see "gallery" link if present)
Titles link to video trailer of the piece, company name to company website.

The second section shows a selection of software that stayed into my hands, thus never getting a proper User Interface...
This section shows software made for productions that include me as video technician to run the shows: meaning that the User Interface was not the main priority. Creating a simple an reliable interface requires time which we didn't have during the creation process.
